That includes undergraduates, postgraduates, researchers, lecturers, and admin staff at any recognised university, anywhere in the world. If your address ends in .edu, .ac.uk, .edu.au, or your country's equivalent, you qualify.

$18. 40% off for anyone working in the NHS, an NHS trust, or another public healthcare service. Doctors, nurses, clinicians, researchers, admin, IT, anyone with an @nhs.net, @nhs.uk, or trust-issued email. Equivalent national services elsewhere also count.

$18. The same 40% off for registered charities and not-for-profits, and for anyone actively maintaining an open-source project of reasonable size. I'd rather Parakeety be useful to people doing work that pays badly than worry about a few extra dollars.

For charities, send me a quick note via the contact page with your charity number or a link to your registration. For open source, a link to the GitHub project you maintain is fine.

Buying for a team or kitting out more than one Mac? The per-Mac price drops as the count goes up. One license, one Mac, the same as a single purchase, just billed together.

5 to 9 Macs. $21 per Mac.

10 to 24 Macs. $18 per Mac.

25 to 49 Macs. $15 per Mac.

50 or more. Get in touch and I'll quote based on what you need.

To set this up, drop a note through the contact page with the number of Macs and a billing email. I'll send back a single invoice and a batch of license keys you can hand out to your team.

I don't run a separate verification system or an automated domain check. The proof is: you email me from the qualifying address, and that's enough. Replies typically land the same day, sometimes within an hour, depending on time zones.

The code I send is a single-use discount applied at checkout. It doesn't change anything about the license itself, you get the same Parakeety, the same lifetime updates, the same activation flow as the $30 default. Only the price you pay is different.
