Refunds

Try it free for 7 days. That's the test.

The short version

Parakeety, the local Mac dictation app, comes with a free 7-day trial. Use it on your real work for a week, then decide. $30 is a one-off, not a subscription.

After purchase I don't run a routine "use it and refund it" window, because the trial is that window. What I do still cover are things that aren't your decision: genuine bugs, payment problems, licenses that didn't arrive. Email me and I'll sort it.

The trial is the test

Every Mac gets a free 7-day trial, no card on file. The trial is the same app as the paid version. Hold the key, talk, paste, repeat. Use it on real work, in your real apps, for the whole week.

If at the end of the week it isn't for you, don't buy. If it is, that's what the $30 is for.

When I will refund you

If something has genuinely gone wrong, get in touch and I'll make it right. Some examples:

A bug that you didn't hit during the trial and that breaks the app on your specific machine. A payment that went through twice. A license email that never arrived. A change I make in an update that materially removes something you bought it for.

In any of those cases, email me and I'll either refund you in full or fix the issue, whichever you'd prefer.

How to ask

Drop me a note through the contact page, ideally from the address you bought with. If you've got the license key handy, paste it in. A short note about what's gone wrong is enough.

You don't need to write a bug report or hop on a call. I read these myself.

After a refund

The $30 goes back to your original payment method, usually within a few working days depending on your bank. Your license is deactivated, and I'd ask that you stop using the app and delete your copy.
